Description

Richard Long (born 1945) is widely recognised as one of the most important artists to have emerged since the 1960s. This book gathers together for the first time a selection of Long's statements and interviews from 1971 to 2006. Many of the texts included have been unavailable for some time. Also included are an early interview from 1971, published for the first time in English, and a previously unpublished conversation with Michael Auping, Chief Curator of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. These seminal texts are invaluable for an understanding of the rich and complex implications of Long's work. Taken together they form the best introduction available to the work of one of the most important artists working today.
