Recorded with producer-to-the-stars John Alagia (John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz) in Massachusetts and at the Village in LA, the album was the result of a three month snowed in session within the walls of a studio graced throughout time by acts as distinctive as The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. It was mixed by Grammy-award winning engineer-to-the-stars Tom Lord-Alge (Green Day) in Miami. It is A&Rd by the stars-behind-the-stars Seymour Stein and Michael Goldstone as the beginnings of their worldwide deal through Sire Records.
Radio hit? Channel Seven have already halved David Koch’s salary to procure the song as the theme for their forthcoming rugby season. Split Enz have personally requested their presence on their reunion tour in June. Their last record gave birth to a song (It’s Too Late) that was the seventh most played song on Australian radio last year. These guys practically have ‘radio hit’ tattooed on their foreheads.
Like a Quentin Blake sketch to a Roald Dahl novel, Evermore will be illustrating the majesty of ‘Running’ with a national theatre tour in May, followed by the Split Enz tour in June, followed by the brutal touring schedule Evermore have become renowned for maintaining.
