Description

After the disaster that was Bannockburn, the English army returns home in disarray, running southwards on land and sea, fleeing the triumphant Robert the Bruce. However, one man decides to go north, into the jaws of the Scottish horde. Young squire Richard de Mauville is on a mission: to find and return the body of his beloved knight and mentor to his home and then to fight on. Strange, then, that it will be an Englishman who stands in his way...

Author Biography

Geoff Martin was born in Epsom Surrey, but spent most of his youth in Ruislip, Middlesex. During the early 1970s, Geoff became interested in medieval warfare, and using much of his time researching the subject, he soon turned his hand to making useable armour and trying it out. Taking his hobby a step further, Geoff started meeting people of a like mind, and having picked their brains, extended his knowledge of the period. Thus armed with this good understanding of the Middle Ages, he has written Saint Robert and the Devil with an insight gleaned from four decades of study.
