Samba (Omar Sy, The Intouchables) migrated to France 10 years ago from Senegal, and has since been plugging away at various lowly jobs. Alice (Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nymphomaniac) is a senior executive who has recently undergone a burnout. Both struggle to get out of their dead-end lives – Samba willing to do whatever it takes to get working papers and live in France unencumbered, while Alice tires to get her life back on track by working as a legal consultant for immigrants. As their paths cross, Samba and Alice find a bond that will see their lives, and those around them, change for better.
