Alene Adele Roy writes 'The Legend Of Dragonfly Pond' illustrated book series for family reading, and has added 'Sanctuary' for adults and young adults, which takes place at the same location as her previous books Dragonfly Pond and its gardens. The horses featured in the story are those from her childhood, and Hope, her cat, also gives her inspiration. Her yard, pond, and gardens are certified as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation, and she is a member of The Audubon Society and The Xerces Society For Invertebrate Conservation, which protects invertebrates and their habitat worldwide.
