"SOAD Reborn?"
5 stars"

Well now, this is definitely one of the best albums I have heard this year. The songs sound like SOAD minus the vocal talents of Serj Tankian. You would think this is a bad thing but Daron Malakian really knows how to craft some incredible songs. It still retains that Armenian sound with lyrics relating to the need for the people of the world to wake up and take action to save our planet. From the catchy tone of ‘Serious’ about needing a new girl to the downright insanity of ‘Chemicals’ this is one album that never gives up its rapid pace and meaningful lyrical content it portrays throughout its entire run time. ‘Stoner Hate’ ‘Wh*ring Streets’ ‘3005’ ‘World Long Gone’ ‘Universe’ are my favourites of this album. ‘Cute Machines’ is really the only average track as it is quite repetitive but even then the content of the song is meaningful exploring societies desire to accumulate machines without ever stopping to think about where this planet is headed and what society will turn into by relying on machines to do our work for us.

All in all this is an insanely good album, if you like SOAD and Serj Tankian and thought that Daron was lacking talent on Mezmerize and Hypnotize then pick this up. You wont be dissapointed.
