A Commission has been appointed, complementary to the recent one on University Education, to deal with Trinity College and Dublin University. The two are practically the same, Trinity being the only College under Dublin University. They have not been the subject of Government inquiry for fifty years, and although they have in many ways been very progressive, e.g., in abolishing tests long before the English Universities and in Opening degrees to women, yet much improve ment is obviously possible, and if the Commission can succeed in making suggestions which will render Dublin University acceptable to Roman Catholics generally, it will be one of the most memorable in history.
