Author Biography

Edward R. Ricciuti has incorporated early career experience as a police reporter into his writing and reporting on science and nature. He has reported on criminal activities ranging from homicides and espionage to the illicit wildlife trade. While on assignment, he has worked closely with agents from domestic law enforcement entities such as the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the United States Customs Service and the South African Police. Ricciuti is an associate member of the Federal Wildlife Officers Association and the Overseas Press Club of America. He was an Advanced Science Writing Fellow at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
