Author Biography
Lorna Collins was raised in Alhambra, California where she was an honor student in English. She worked in Document Control for many years doing a great deal of technical writing. Between 1998 and 2001, she worked in Japan on the Universal Studios theme park with her husband, Larry. Their memoir of that experience, 31 Months in Japan: The Building of a Theme Park was published in 2005. Lorna and Larry have one daughter, Kimberly. They now reside in Dana Point, CA where Lorna works for a California bank as an IT professional and enjoys spending time with family and friends. In 2008, Whiskey Creek Press published Snowflake Secrets with the same group of authors. She and Larry have completed a mystery novel and are working on two sequels. Sherry Derr-Wille entered her Sophomore English Class and her life changed. With the assignment to sit in the back of the room and write for a year, she fell in love and found her life's passion. Fortunately, no one ever told her that at the end of the year the assignment was over. Now forty plus years later, she is still at it. With over forty contracts to her credit, she is having more fun than ever before. Although she is a wife, mother of three grown children and seven grandchildren, she is first and foremost a writer. Sherry claims Wisconsin as her home and is looking forward to complete retirement so she can write more of the fun stories she enjoys and spend quality time with her husband of forty plus years, Bob. Luanna Rugh is a native Californian who met her husband, Leonard, while working at a local restaurant. They had been married about a year when he was drafted to serve in Vietnam. They have jointly written a moving account of Len's serious wounding and recovery. Luanna is currently working on a mystery novel and three more romances. She lives in Laguna Woods, California with husband, Len, and dog Gina. They enjoy traveling and visiting with their daughter and her family whenever possible. Christie Shary is married, lives in Dana Point, California, and has a BA degree in English. She has had two books (The Blue Mosaic Vase and Amelia), short stories and poetry published, has completed five novels and has been employed as a professional writer for a large Orange Country, California corporation. She has written a new novel, Lucky Dog, which was a winner in the 2006 Fresh Voices Awards and is now working on a romance novel. Christie is a world traveler whose memories give life to her characters.
