This is pretty much the peak of what band merchandise can/should be! It's pricey, but it's big, sturdy, wonderfully packaged and beautiful! The lenticular cover makes for a great display piece. I have an original Sgt. Pepper record with inserts, so it's nice to receive replicas that I can display and keep the originals safe. The discs come in what looks like the original record sleeve, all sitting safely in their own sections, in individual packaging. As a fan it's always nice to have physical media to pore over. The book is a decent size, it's not some quickly thrown together pamphlet or anything. I'm also excited that it included blu-ray/dvd of the making of Sgt. Pepper and the accompanying promo films!

The packaging is luxurious and the new stereo mix sounds amazing. There is such detail in the recording now, it’s punchy and transparent revealing sounds previously hidden. Ringo’s drums can thunderous and the guitars have new bite and grit making it a much 'rockier’ and 'live’ sounding album than when first heard. The out-takes and early mixes give insight into the Beatles’ recording process. The book is a work of art in itself and the videos pure nostalgia. And the 5.1 BlueRay mix- It’s like being right there with the boys in Studio 2 at Abbey Road as they were laying down the tracks.

Great piece of beatles history. A must for any staunch beatles fan listening to the many takes of the album as well as the mono and stereo versions of the album . The hardcover book also provides a great read
