"Making a stand against Evil is not always easy"

I've only plyed this one once, but love at first sight. The Details of the boards (yes there are multiple for all the places around the legend), the pieces, etc are pretty good. The little miniatures are as detailed as the Warhammer and other collectable miniatures. So you can add some painting to your set of knigths and assets to push the style to your liking. The game itself is among the : all (but one) for all type. You have to beat the game itself. To incorporate some learning curve, the first play is suggested to be held withouth the presence of the traitor among the players. Our team of six, consisted seasoned players, one of us even had a previous session with this one, and newbies. After the first two rounds everyone picked up the mechanics ,the basic rules and rushed to defend the legendary castle. It tells a lot about the experince, that after we have finished and packed away, we were still debating on what should have been done differently, and what are the main focus areas. (Regardless the fact that we have managed to win… This time) Overall it was a worthwhile purchase, it is a good game for those who would like to try something different, and sneak into the realm of the cooperative board games.

An awesome game, really enjoy the fact that people can drop in and out of the game at any stage, and that a traitor can be in the game without anyione else knowing about it.

An unladen swallow flies across the gray skies of Brittany… The forces of Evil are gathering around Camelot – The Black Knight was sighted atop a desolate ridge; a scheming Morgan plots her revenge; Saxon troops are on the move; and acres of timber are being felled for the Siege Engines. Lancelot has all but vanished, Excalibur is still to be recovered, and the Holy Grail remains just a Legend. These are troubling times indeed… Will you, young Squire, come forth and pledge allegiance to your fellow Knights at the Round Table- Is your heart pure of intent and ready to sacrifice for the good of all- Or will the dark promise of power seduce you into treason-

Shadows over Camelot is a unique collaborative game featuring a malevolent twist! As the incarnation of the Knights of the Round Table, you join forces against the game itself in an attempt to protect Camelot. But beware… all is not as it seems among these noble Knights. One of your number might yet turn out to be a traitor-in-waiting, biding his time while sowing havoc and destruction from the Shadows!
