This is a story about the amazing courage and love a woman has for her children. It expresses how she felt standing alone amongst a group of people she felt she could not trust. She finds herself awakening to a morning she thought would be like any other. She gets a call of panic-soon to be confronted with her worst nightmare. The man she depends on to help raise her children is missing. She feels she has no choice but to try to find out what has happened to her children's father. She has no idea what she is about to face. She first believes her husband may have done something wrong and has just not come forward. As the day grows to a close, she begins to feel at a loss. She is fearful of the unknown. She stands alone amid people making accusations. She feels it is up to her to rise above them and to focus on one thing. Where is her husband? There are theories coming from all directions. She knows no one anymore about what has happened than she does. She has to depend on herself to find the truth. Though time is passing, and there is no word from her husband, she thinks only of her children. She knows she has to put aside her fears to give her children some answers.She refuses to let them live their lives with unanswered questions about their father. With every hour that passes with no more information than the hour before, she closes her eyes to ask a Higher Power for the help she needs. Lost and confused, she refuses to be intimidated by the people around her. Someone else has knowledge of what has happened. Throughout the story she tells what she is seeing, but at the time she in not aware of how all the pieces fit together. Thoughts of her children force her to keep returning to the scene until the crime is solved. Family members come to her aid. At the time, it seemed they were only there to support her, but in the end, they made the biggest difference. Pieces of evidence would be found and discarded. Later they learned that same evidence would be very crucial in solving the crime. There are things that she questioned; things that did not make any sense. Step-by-step she kept searching, and shares with the reader the actions of others that aroused her suspicions. She concludes there were more people involved than the one who was eventually found guilty.After reading her story, you will learn how a Higher Power carried her through the tough times. There were many things that happened through the leading of a Higher Power that she did not fully recognize until her struggle to find the truth had ended.
