"An all time great horror"

The acting is amazing, little Jodelle Ferland can switch from charming to horrifying in seconds. The story although not like the game, makes more sense and is less confusing and just as riveting. It hasn't been over Hollywood butchered either and sticks close to what Silent Hill was overall. This is one of my favorite horror films, just sit back and let it take you to Silent Hill. 10/10 and an instant classic in my book.

I had the dvd version from the beginning. Silent Hill is one of the best movies made. You have heard it before but do yourselves a favour and see all the silent hill movies.

Description

Horror set in the eerie and deserted town of Silent Hill where a young mother is desperate to find a cure for her only child's illness. Unable to accept the doctor's diagnosis that her daughter should be permanently institutionalised for psychiatric care, Rose (Radha Mitchell) flees with her child, heading for the abandoned town in search of answers and ignoring the protests of her husband (Sean Bean). It's soon clear this place is unlike anywhere she's ever been.

It's smothered by fog, inhabited by a variety of strange beings and periodically overcome by a living Darkness that literally transforms everything it touches. As Rose searches for her little girl, she begins to learn the history of the strange town and realises that her daughter is just a pawn in a larger game.
