Description

If you pick up any women's magazine and look through the stories, I'm sure you will find one or two about women with cancer. All these stories are the same. They are about bravery and suffering in silence - they scream for sympathy. If that's the sort of story you are looking for, then this one is not for you. I don't do sympathy! My grandmother used to say that every cloud has a silver lining - it's just that sometimes you have to look for it. So when I found out that I was suffering from breast cancer I set out to find that lining. Guess what? I found several. Silver Linings is about looking on the bright side, however bad things get. This candid and personal account of dealing with breast cancer is a testament to the benefits of positive thinking.
