This is a poignant true story of love lost. It begins with the central person 'Harry Blake' as a young boy in pre-world war 2 years. It takes the reader through his troubled childhood and eventual voluntary enlistment into the British Army. It describes Harry's accident that saw him 'invalided' out of the army and his inability to function as a normal person. It goes on to describe how He meets up with a beautiful young woman, Celia, whilst working in the Spitfire factory in Birmingham.
