Got your attention now- Good! Of all the controversies in gaming this year, Singstar Celebration slipped under the radar, which is surprising considering it probably committed the worst offense any game could. How could this go unnoticed you may ask- Because nobody bought the game… But I did.

Singstar Celebration is LITERALLY the exact same game as the previous release Singstar Ultimate Party, which you can download a version of FOR FREE on PS4 (it even comes pre-installed on your PS3). People joke that games like Call of Duty and Fifa are the same game released over and over again but that's just a silly joke made by trolls. Each game is is radically different for better or worse.
There have been NO changes made to this release. Not a single added feature. You put in the disc and it is THE SAME MENU (same background, same color scheme, same sfx, same font, same background music) AS ULTIMATE PARTY. It might as well be the same disc. Don't believe me- I don't blame you. It sounds too bad to be true. But, there is a video review on YouTube that shows how there is no difference between the games. One which is a FREE DOWNLOAD, and this one which you have to pay for (it's not even on the Playstation Store).

So what DOES this game offer- Well… New tracks. In the past, PS2 Singstar games had different themes and genres, PS3 Singstar had different gimmicks and additional features. Never the same game twice while always offering new songs. Celebration offers none of that. AND HERE'S THE REAL KICKER. Of all the 30 tracks (the smallest number of songs on any recent Singstar) 18 OF THEM are available on Rockband 4, the Singstore and some are even already on the Singstar Ultimate Party disc!

In conclusion, you decide if spending ANY money for a product that is the definition of copy-pasted is worth it just to sing a song or two that you most likely already own on a better game. Especially when you can just download Singstar FOR FREE right now.
