The Good: Classic Sonic. It's just like it was on the Mega Drive, bar nothing. It plays beautifully, and looks fantastic to boot. Smashes Sonic 4 into the ground.

The Bad: Modern Sonic, and his stupid-ass friends. Silly bloody 3D sonic platforming garbage with annoying characters, annoying voices and their doubly annoying interactions with one another. Hard to enjoy. If you have the stomach to get past this, however, you WILL forgive the game when it throws more classic sonic your way.

Summary: A wonderful game until modern sonic rears his ugly head. Thankfully, intermittent use of classic sonic will keep you playing.

Nothing for me will beat original sonic 1 and 2 on sega / mega drive but this does come close for new gen sonic. With hints of the clasic I dont regret buying this at all and im not selling it.

I still love Sonic but the last games have not been worth a try. This changes everything, By combining the old style gameplay and the new gameplay you get double the game. The story combines the old generation with the new that provides an entertaining mix.

The gameplay can get annoying from time to time but its a easy game to get through.
