Sophies Return is a sequel to Angel of Fire. In this story, Zach Brinkley returns home, bringing with him the otherworldly friends who helped him when he was in hospital. He and his ghostly companions and Sophie Ferguson, pledge to help earthbound spirits seeking peace. On a school excursion to abandoned railway tunnels beneath Bottleneck Bay, a case presents itself in the form of Hank, the troubled spirit of a young man from Sophies past ...her past in a previous life, that is. In trying to help Hank, Sophie places herself in mortal danger. Will Zach, the twins and Astra be able to save her?
Author Biography
Wendy Milton is a retired teacher from Rozelle, NSW, who loves writing for children. Check out her five-book series about Zach Brinkley. Other books include The Doolally Kid (recently republished) and The Boy Who Disappeared. The latter, first published in 2006, will be re-released this year, together with a sequel. Wendy grew up in Newcastle and for several years taught HSC English at The Newcastle Grammar School. Shes a graduate of Newcastle University and has a first-class honours M.A. from the University of Sydney.
