Bought this sound card to improve my ability to record music on a fairly casual level but it's actually boosted my whole audio experience to a huge level on my pc. Movies, music and gaming sound so damn good now, I wish I had bought a sound card years ago rather than relying on my motherboard's onboard chip. One of the best upgrades for my pc in years.
Have one of these in my I7 (haswell) and does extremely well, Getting another one for my I5 (coffee lake) because I don't like the green plastic connector my motherboard has, Goes well with logitech Z333 speakers.

What ever happened to the Creative that brought us the Soundblaster 16 and 32 way back when-
The outputs are a Frankenstein 4 pin 3.5mm plug, and won’t allow you to plug in most 7.1 channel headphones. I have to now buy cables to split out the outputs and recombine them properly.
