2016 release. Spirit's Furnace is a crisp nine song follow up to the Bones of J.R. Jones' debut full length album, Dar Was the Yearling, released in 2014. With Spirit's Furnace, the line between the man, Jonathon Linaberry, and the persona, the Bones or J.R. Jones has become harder to define with this album. The reserved and notoriously private Linaberry gives the listener a small peak into the world of the man who created The Bones of J.R. Jones, by infusing his personal life and personal experiences into the songwriting. These personal stories are then twisted through the dark musical spectrum of The Bones of J.R. Jones, which is what fuels the fire of Spirit's Furnace.
