This book should be a pocketbook for every missionary and leader at any level, and for anyone aspiring to spiritual leadership. The second title that could be given to it is: Spiritual Leadership According to the Pattern of Joshua. It is a compilation of lessons that were given by Professor Z.T. Fomum on the occasion of a West African regional convention in 1996. In this book, he emphasizes the principles of leadership through service. Servant leadership is his focus. He uses the example of Joshua who aggressively served one man, Moses, for 40 years and was promoted by the Lord to serve a multitude, the people of Israel. God recruits future leaders from the crucible of one-man service. The servant and the ruler are the same. What sets them apart is the number of people each serves. This service includes very hard work, a price paid for the accomplishment of God's purposes, knowledge of God, knowledge of the Word, etc. Read it and become the leader that God intended you to be.
