Sports and ADHD?! is the first book published in the Netherlands that focuses on training and coaching children with ADHD, a special and often complex group of children within the club. In addition to the advantages and disadvantages of having ADHD within the sport are practical tips for dealing with these children. The methods outlined herein are for the care of children with ADHD translated into practice within the sport. Due to its simple design, this serves both as a handbook and reference guide not only for trainers and coaches, but for parents as well. Sports and ADHD?! was written as a thesis for the author's course in Social Work, based on her years of experience in training and coaching children with ADHD. The author works as a club trainer for the Typhoons basketball team at Hoogezand. After her training with SPH, she worked as a family counselor to and gave educational supervision to families with children with ADHD.
