Description

Elections in the United States bring political change to Washington, but too often economic policies remain the same. Bound by depression-era theories that savings is bad, government spending is good, and imports must equal exports, policymakers press for a centralized interventionist approach to solve economic problems. Spread the Wealth offers bold and enlightened alternatives. Anchored in the historically successful policies of free trade, stable currency, and private property rights, this superbly researched work leads the way in offering a renaissance in modern economic thought. David Breuhan challenges failed ideas of the past with a new approach, which includes the direct relationship between the stock market's performance and America's trade policies; the rise in the price of gold and the increase of the national debt; and seventeen economic principles to guide members of the public and private sectors to make more informed decisions.
