Pretty much as above, what else can you say
Springsteens influence on many lives can be seen in this Documentary. Even non-Springsteen fans will be drawn into the web of his spell through the amazement, sadness and humour shown through the lives of his most ardent fans. At times the dvd is laugh out loud funny, while at other points a thoughtfulness descends on the watcher as real life emotions are played out on screen. For those that love “the boss”, you will not be disappointed with this summary of how you may have also felt listening to his music at times. Enjoy!
Springsteen and I is a unique feature music documentary celebrating a rock n roll icon: Bruce Springsteen.
Working with the filmmakers, Springsteen s fans have helped create a film that reflects on their personal insights and experiences to explore what this timeless artist means to them. Their stories are at times touching, at times humorous, at times extraordinary and they all come from the heart.
Combined with previously unseen archive footage of performances throughout Springsteen s career, this is a film by the fans and for the fans created with the full support of Bruce Springsteen. This beautifully crafted film provides a unique insight into the powerful bond between a recording artist and those who connect so profoundly with his music. Ridley Scott, Executive Producer.
Springsteen & I Review
By Total Film
"This compilation of tributes from Bruce followers trounces Shane Meadows’ Made Of Stone in the fan- film stakes. Invited to submit films about what Springsteen means to them, admirers probe his ties to an often blue-collar fanbase. Some electric gig footage justifies the love; ‘Thunder road’ scorches.
You pity the kids of the more Boss-obsessed but there’s pomposity-pricking humour and uplift here, too. The firsthand concert stories, luckiest busker ever and an OAP who thinks Springsteen is “hot” paint a potent picture of Bruce’s hearty populism." 4 out of 5 Stars
