EA BIG has done it again, this time it's better. The first time I put the game in I was quite confused with the different layout of the menus compared to SSX Tricky, but I got used to it.
If you liked games like SSX Tricky, or any of the Tony Hawk series, you will love this game. Peak one has about 6 different ‘courses’. It is a ‘simple’ course – well compared to peak 2 it is. You have to collect stars and earn money while completing other goals as well like getting a set amount of Gold Metals and so on.
When you get to peak to you will be blown away – literally. Peak Two is basically one big Snowstorm with avalanches every now and then and the wind which could knock your tricks or slalom course right off!! It fas adrenalin pumped action with some near vertical slopes and heaps of rails Your opponents even set you some challenges to fin stuff, bet a record, time or slalom if you want to accept.
I haven't gotten to Slope 3 yet but I cannot wait. The game gives you the option of starting at the top of the highest Slope you have unlocked and lets you board down to the bottom of the 3rd one. I did it from the top of Slope 2 and it took me lets say 15 minutes and I never got bored. The track is so huge; you will take a different route every time you go down it. If you are lucky enough to have broadband and a PS2 Network adapter you can play online against others. Unfortunately, this is not available in NZ.
Overall this game is GREAT. It will do to the world of snowboard games what Tony Hawk did for skateboarding!
