I was dubious about the reins to the Star Trek franchise being handed off to the director of the Fast & Furious movies, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Props to Simon Pegg and Justin Lim for a good script. Felt far more like a Star Trek movie than the previous two did under Abrams, while sacrificing none of the visual flair that the new Trek movies have become known for.

Saw this twice at Movies because I loved it Character driven & action driven – plenty of surprises Just suspend the awkward plot and settle back for a lot of fun
