Star Wars: Battlefront reviews

I was expecting this to be amazing. but so far its average. There isn't exactly a story, just a continuation of missions. and that's all there is to it. Sadly not worth the money. I'd recommend that you wait until it comes down in price. Still great fun to play but as a Star Wars fan I was a little let down by the experience. Graphically its great and so far no bugs at all.

The game is great. Bobble head is great. I don't see the point in you adding the poster to the deal if you're just gonna fold it up and send it in a box. It is worthless in this condition. Definitely not going on the wall in my man cave which i had planned. I realise it probably sounds silly, but I am gutted.

Pre-ordered this game with high expectations and was so excited when it arrived. However for a casual gamer who cannot justify spending on multiplayer online passes I am severly disappointed in the single player aspect of this game. Very little choice and relatively boring after being played for a few hours. For those of you into multiplayer online action it may be awesome, but for casual gamers like me into single player and offline campaigns, don't get it.

This game looked cool, and amazing, but when I played it was disappointed. It was sub par game-play compared to modern fps games. And after seeing the 50$ DLC I just wanted to vomit. To many company's are releasing half a game then chopping the rest into DLC. I'm just sick of it really. And StarWars was the last straw. If you want this game, keep inmind you will have to pay a lot more money later on for more content.

Before you start a war to defend this game just think for a second, strip away the Star Wars skin and what do you have- An incredibly bare bones and lackluster first person shooter. But to be blunt this is a shell of a game, no campaign, no space battles, illusion of progression, a grab bag one one map per mode game types, ZERO connectivity within parties, and of course THE SEASON PASS THAT COSTS AS MUCH AS THE GAME! We all know EA is one of the worst companies in the world, let alone the gaming industry. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! EA will no doubt bring out a Battlefront 2 with all the things they purposely left out of this game AND still charge a $90 season pass for that too!

This game is definitely worth getting, if you're a star wars fan and played battlefront 1 & 2 pretty sure there wasn't much of a story. This game is fun just to relax and forget about things in life. It's amazing really

I dont think this game is worth the money.

The maps look amazing, but the game falls short when it comes to gameplay. The gameplay lacks variety but if you are big fan of Star Wars, you will probably enjoy this game.

Star Wars battlefront is a great game for its visual spectacle and attention to detail on the original Star wars. Although it is significantly lacking some elements of the old battlefront generally it is an effective re boot that maintains the classical, arcade feel that is less saturated with lucky kills. Battlefront is much more rewarding to more thoughtful, skillful players as a pose to the approach call of duty's take were games are saturated with lucky, right place right time kills. More content, especially characters and planets, would make it a five star game.

Not only is it graphically and audibly beautiful, but the new Battlefront game fulfills the needs of the fans by allowing you to live out the iconic battles and play them time and time again without them getting old or boring. With all the potential content to come, and everything that is currently available from Multiplayer missions such as Heroes versus Villains through to Fighter Squadron, it is hard to not marvel at what they've made. Yes it does lack some of the components of the original Battlefront games, with a lack of playable heroes, but with more confirmed as being on the way as well as the looming arrival of the new movie, it's almost impossible to put down the controller. The gameplay is fluid and enjoyable and with customisable characters and gear, it is easily one of the top games of the year.

Brilliant game, but at first I was disappointed. I didn't enjoy the first person, and so didn't enjoy the gameplay, but as soon as I switched to third person and treated it sorta like a single player game, it became alot more enjoyable, just sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacle, don't think of it the same way as BF4 and the tense feeling associated with it, just enjoy it. Best mode, walker assault, not too many maps though, but 8+ kills a life is very possible for everyone. Have fun!

The physics and graphics are great and there are some really good improvements on the others, like the ability to regenerate life but there are some issues though. The single player only has 4 maps, in comparison to swbattlefront 2, which had around 30, it is terrible.

Most of the good stuff is in the multiplayer side of the game, which doesn't have many maps either. You also cant choose to fight the AI like in the other games and as far as I can tell, there is no online co op.

The layout seems simple, but it doesn't explain much and you have to really search the internet for a manual. All in all its good gameplay, but let down on a whole. I would recommend hiring first.

Great game! Dosent take long to get the hang of it at all!! Just got it and I'm doing well!! Free Dlc for the battle of Jakku is awesome! Heaps of game modes you can play as heaps of people like Darth Vader online and you can even play co op missions with your friends! So good must buy!!!

Ive been loving having this game it is a must have for true gamers.

This game is just amazing to play. Awesome attention to detail and amazing to play. No issues with server connection and lobby wait times.

Totally amazing game! Excellent graphics and game play, as well as fast service from Mighty Ape once again! Although it was abit pricy, some other retailers where a fair bit cheaper for preordering and was abit disappointed that the free poster was folded for postage. But other than that, amazing game!

Like Dan's review on 19–11–15, you can't fault the game… it's addictive multiplayer action is very immersive. I could take or leave the bobblehead, but why fold the poster guys- Maybe it's easier for shipping, but it kinda ruins it. Failure there.

Great stuff! Super fast delivery, with an awesome Darth Vader bobble head and a HUGE Darth Vader poster! Going straight into the man cave!

Love this game the more I play it I come up with something new to do. My goddaughter found it awesome and she enjoyed playing it. Great how you can be on the dark side or a rebel.

When I first purchased this game I was disappointed that it did not have a solo campaign and I played it very little. After playing the online multiplayer a dozen or so times, I found it inexplicable addictive: it is an extremely fun, photorealistic recreation of dramatic Star Wars battles. By far and above it is the game I play most often. If you're like me and consider the lack of solo campaign a major con, reconsider it for the online multiplayer experience.

Most people will tell you that this game fell short. I would incline to agree but would say it was closer to being a great game than you might expect. I make great use of the 2 player split screen, battlefront being one of the only big titles offering this feature. More content for this would turn it into a great game. If you want a game to casually play with a friend this is one of your best options.
