"Good film; pity there are no extras."

I'm not going to review the film as there are plenty of reviews out there, and the main debate isn't over how good it is but over whether it's an honest homage to the original or just painfully derivative.

If you are considering purchasing this DVD, however, please be aware that there are NO special features. This is just the film and nothing else. No deleted scenes, no ‘making of’ documentary, nothing but the movie. You have been warned.

Awesome movie. Not as good as originals, but hey still great. Looking forward to the next installment.

"Remake of Episode IV"
2 stars"

I left the theatre genuinely unhappy with this film and I'm a major Star Wars fan. My biggest issue with the film is the blatant rip-off of a New Hope and the complete lack of world building. JJ and crew simply wrote three small paragraphs for the opening crawl and restarted the entire Star Wars universe back to Episode IV with everything our beloved characters did becoming meaningless. And of course the several plot holes, defy imagination. They spent hundreds of millions of dollars on actors and special effects, but the money really should have gone into the writing.

"Just like the good old days"

Just enough reminders and nods to the past movies without overdoing it, great new characters with great humour and adventure throughout
