Awesome! Simply Awesome! I’ve been a fan of this line since the original Dark Forces. Every game has been an improvement and Jedi Academy is no exception. The later games have all been about the lightsaber fights and Jedi Academy adds a few new twists to an already perfect system. Not only can you wield the traditional lightsaber, but now you can wield two! At once! They’ve also included the lightstaff for all those Darth Maul wannabes.
The story line is good, just what I’d expect from a LucasArts title. All the twists and turns, choices between light and dark, and the never ending battle between good and evil. No fan of Star Wars should be let down by this title, and even though the graphics engine is getting a little old, its decent enough and the gameplay easily makes up for any shortcomings.
A little tidbit for those new to the system. If you really want some realistic lightsaber battles, use the following codes in the in-game console. helpusobi 1 (activates the cheat system) and then g_saberRealisticCombat 5 (needs limbs severing option in the options screen set). Let the limbs start flying :)
