SteelSeries Arctis 9X Wireless Gaming Headset reviews

I bought this headset because I was getting annoyed of being caught on wires all the time. The mic sounds clear and high quality same with the sound. There are 4 different sound settings so you can change them depending on what you're playing/watching. The only bad thing I've encountered with this headset after having it for a long while is that the power button isn't very responsive and you sometimes have to re-press it to turn the headset on. Overall, a very good headset with very good battery life.

Really worth the price I have been using them a couple weeks now and it's been heaven they are just weight loss on your head plus the sound quality is great

Almost as soo as it was out of warranty the plastic broke

I had this head phones for 17 months now and there falling apart on the left side swiffle connection to the frame. There is a plastic gr omit on the inside of the cup and it is in hundert peaces. I do NOT abuse my equpments and look after it well. For the money I paid it is not worth it at all.

Most comfortable headset I've ever had, you really do get your moneys worth

You get your monies worth with this headset. Incredibly comfortable with great sound and mic quality.

Still yet to have them fit as well as I would like, still adjusting things, but the sound is just brilliant. The mic works very well as it was commented on by the other players that they could hear my slight Scottish accent very clearly.

If you want the best wireless audio and online gaming experience on Xbox there's really no better option. Love my headset and SteelSeries make quality wireless cans.

Amazing headset my first time with wireless and bluetooth easyer as set up

Excellent sound quality, can hear enemy movements very easily, bluetooth to phone works well. Connection to xbox so simple. Great battery life and very comfy to wear for extended periods of time. Highly recommend

The head set drops out frequently ie every 15–30 min. If you look at the web site there is a full set of instructions as how to turn off you Wi-Fi etc to stop interfering with the head set. I actually don’t have any wifi routers any where In The room but still the head set drops out all the time. After trying everything on steelhead list and couple of other things based on advise from the steelhead support team Recommendation from steelhead was to down grade to Arctis 1. So not worth the $$. A wireless head set that isn’t designed properly to stop wireless interference to work in a normal household environment.

Stopped charging after a year and a half

Build quality is just amazing, the ear cushions are so soft and comfy and the head strap is easy to adjust, can hardly feel it on your head.

Pretty decent noise cancelling, has a great seal around your ears.

The sound is good, although you'll need to play with the EQ settings to make it great.

The mic is very adjustable and clear.

Connecting to the console is effortless (just like connecting a controller).

I've had no issues with Bluetooth. My phone automatically connects whenever I turn them on and it's great not missing an important phone call or message as you're gaming or watching something.

Battery life a great aswell.

The only real issue I've had, is sometimes when the sound starts to get chaotic (for me it's during intense moments in Overwatch), the sound will pop or cut in and out a little bit. This only happens sometimes though and it's pretty subtle. Not a deal breaker. I'm pretty happy with them.

Was ok for a few months other than everytime you put it down and pick it up the little sliders on the side change the audio settings. The right ear volume went down very quiet after 3 months you had to have the volume on 70% or higher for it to equalize but I can't change the volume on xbox because it's grayed out and I don't want it that loud so it's basically a peice of rubbish now. I tried factory resetting it and updating it. The right ear turned off completely. $353 headset…

Had these just over ONE YEAR with occasional light use. I could hear broken plastic inside. Eventually the plastic surrounding the swivel / grommet shattered, rendering the headset unusable. Also, the whole time that I owned them, they would lose signal from the PC periodically every 15 – 30 minutes, and I'd need to turn them off and back on again to re-establish connection.

A bit out dated but still quality headphones

The audio & microphone quality is great on this headset, although the audio is not as strong on the bass as my Astro A10s. To counter this, I use Dolby Atmos for Headphones via Xbox at times. I tested the microphone audio quality & it's clear.

I also tested the microphone via Bluetooth to my phone & computer & the audio was clear like it is through Xbox & the latency was low, thus no delay between a video & its audio, for example.

The battery life is great & I have no problems with it whatsoever.

The headset is lightweight which is nice.

An issue with this headset that I cannot ignore is its comfort: the ear cushions, despite being breathable, are not comfortable enough. After 30 – 40 minutes of using my headset for each gaming session, my ears start to feel pain as they are touching the audio drivers of the headset, and the only thing separating the two is a thin layer of mesh. I had to buy a pair of Wicked Cushions ear cushions which arrived yesterday & the comfort is better.

Unbeatable sound, crystal clear mic. The only thing you need to make sure you do is install the software on your computer so you can adjust things like sidetone or the equaliser settings. Also Dolby on Xbox x does all the settings for you (apart from side tone) well worth it. Took me a while to figure it all out with the help of google but worth it if you want it to feel like a home theatre system in a headset.

I do really like them only one thing that disappointed me I had them 2 days and then they decided to stop working I had to send them back for replacement just thought I'd let other buyers know this.

Bought this awhile ago. Works great with Xbox One X and with Series X. Absolutely great.

Kids can play games and talk to their friends on iPad at the same time. Very impressive headphones.

Great headset, not the loudest I have owned but haveing the ability to able to use while playing and have connected to my phone is great. Mic quality is also very good.

Second purchase from Great Ape. This was a birthday gift and there was a hold up but I was kept well informed.

Good Sound quality and love that I can Bluetooth it to my phone to listen to music or watch YouTube while I play. Sometimes has trouble connecting to Xbox, which can easily be fixed by turning it on and off but still kinda annoying.

Overall a great headset but after purchasing I found that I couldn't use it with my macbook at all. If only buying for xbox/mobile I would recommend it.
