I read a lot of reviews about these headphones before purchasing as everyone raves about them. I can only assume that these reviews are either paid for or these people have no idea what good quality headphones are supposed to sound like, but these headphones sound awful. On the positive side, these are very cool looking, well designed and comfortable to wear. The lighting feature is a nice gimmick that serves absolutely no functional purpose whatsoever. If look and feel is how you judge headphones, these are very nice. However, I judge headphones based on sound quality and these are simply garbage. The sound is flat, muted and washy. There is no depth or definition in the sound quality, either playing games or listening to music. The sound quality is so poor that I found they actually detracted from the enjoyment of whatever I was playing or listening to. The only reason I am giving these headphones 2 stars is because the general design and comfort is great, unfortunately they just don't even come close to being satisfactory in sound quality.

I'm unfortunate enough to have both a large head and glasses, so every headset I've owned in the past has been uncomfortable and gave me headaches after an hour or so of use. That's not the case with this one! It's exceptionally light and comfy, I hardly notice it's there. That alone is worth the price for me. The sound quality is very clear, if a bit lacking in ‘oomph’. The lighting is also pretty impressive, very bright and easily customisable in SteelSeries Engine 3. My only complaint is that the microphone is flimsy, annoying to put away and sounds tinny, which is why I only gave this headset four out of five stars.
