Albert Steptoe and his son Harold are in the 'rag and bone' business. To be exact, Harold goes out and "does the business" while Albert stays at home and doesn't do much of anything. Harold really wants to go off and live his own life, but Albert always manages to frustrate his ambitions.
The very first series of one of the all-time classic comedies to appear on British TV. Includes the pilot which was repeated when the series was first screened in June 1962. Episodes are: 'The Offer (Pilot)', 'The Bird', 'The Piano', 'The Economist', 'The Diploma' and 'The Holiday'.
