In 1992, eight watermen formed Strapped. Their goal was to develop a strategy which would eneble them to ride the most massive waves. Tow-in surfing would be realized on one of the fierces waves in the world.
In 1992, eight surfers grew tired of watching massive waves break on the outer reefs, too dangerous for the common surfer to ride. They formed Strapped, an organization determined to find a way to safely ride these monster waves, and developed tow-in surfing–a technique which allows these fearless wave riders to stand up to some of the biggest waves in the world. This documentary explains their technique, and shows them in action–set to the sounds of U2, Mint Royale, Endo, Soil, and Grand Theft Auto.
