I originally saw the movie on the big screen in England on its release. It was scripted from the novel “Incident at Trenchers Farm”. This is probably Sam Peckinpahs first excursion into graphic violence. The movie had a profound effect on me at the time but in the light of more modern day movies the special effects may be less effective.
The attention grabbing factor here is the story line and the mood of the movie. The theme is man defends his castle and REVENGE.
View this movie within the context of its time (1971). The price is good too.
