David Santen is a writer living in Portland, Oregon.

Author Biography:

Tom Liptan is a registered landscape architect (Oregon) and is the Ecoroof Technical Manager with the City of Portland, OR, Bureau of Environmental Services. He has researched and developed numerous vegetated approaches (green infrastructure) for rain/stormwater management and has designed, monitored and maintained many projects, including numerous ecoroofs. He has also influenced and helped shape city policy and code modifications. His work has been recognized internationally and he has presented papers at conferences and universities in the USA, Canada, England, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden. J. David Santen Jr. is a freelance writer living in Portland, Oregon.
