It seems nothing I do lessens the chaos around me. I thought when Audrey chose me instead of Garth and Steve I was winning back my bride-to-be. I felt it. I believed it. Now I see I was naïve. Especially as Steve has told me the reason Garth and Eileen's marriage broke up - SHE cheated on him! I did not see that information coming. When Audrey chose me that last night in Garth's, she hurt him and now he's decided to hurt her. I thought this would make me happy, but she's so miserable I'm going to have to do something to set them back on track. If I can't share her, it seems Audrey doesn't want to marry me. She just wants to ridicule me. Heck, she's even punishing me by making me wear her underwear - what if my neighbour catches me like that? Speaking of which, my bit on the side has picked up on Audrey's affair as well. Hell, she says she's heard them go at it like rabbits while I've been out of the house. Except it hasn't been an affair, has it? No, I gave Audrey my permission. I outright encouraged her. Damn it, I BEGGED her to do it. Then there's the really frightening prospect that in pursuit of Garth again, Audrey might do anything he wants - I've even heard the word dogging mentioned. I can't believe my precious, beautiful princess would ever do such a thing, but the snippets of information she's revealed about the man from her past truly makes me wonder. The wedding date is getting close. If I can just keep everyone in the right place at the right time I might still make Audrey my wife. I can do that, right? I have to!
