Sylvester has everything an entertaining book should have – suspense, misunderstanding, outrage, humour, love…Georgette Heyer is never less than a great read and this is one of my personal favourites. Sylvester, a Duke, coolly decides that it's time to marry, and his cold-blooded review of the possible candidates for his wife horrifies his invalid mother. Fortunately, fate intervenes and the lively and intelligent Phoebe is thrust into Sylvester's life. She has written a book, making Sylvester the villain and when the book is published, it becomes a great success. The plot thickens, the leading characters become entangled, and you should read the book to find out what happens next!
