Magna Pharmex, an international pharmaceutical giant, launched an anti-arthritic drug with the promise of unprecedented pain relief. Dr. Josh Harrington with his wife Maggie conducted clinical trials of the new drug, Dolorean . He discovered disturbing side effects and even deaths with its administration. The reported results were ignored by the company and a cover-up was suspected. The pharmaceutical firm used a high-powered temptress to influence Dr. Harrington to alter his clinical findings. Three murders with probable relationship to the drug occurred while harrowing attempts on the life of Dr. Harrington and Maggie were made. Harrington shared office space with a flamboyant womanizer, the charismatic Doctor Basil R. Stuckley who also conducted clinical trials, but he reported much different results. In view of today's drug scandals with reports of toxicity and death, this novel is a topical, fascinating and intriguing tale of manipulation, greed and devilry as it exists in the multinational drug industry.
