"Tamiya 1:35 SAS jeep."

This is an old kit from Tamiya and has stood up to the test of time. For such an older kit is still looks wonderful once built, painted/weathered and will be a great first kit for the novice or pro builder alike.

"Good value for what it is."
4 stars"

Its a older Tamiya kit but still good. And for its price its good value. [ 25% cheaper than in the shops]. I got one and found it has 2 different variants that you can build, so I got another to do one of each; at this price, why not. It also has enough accessories in the kit that you can set them up so it doesn't look like its just 2 copies of the same model.

Description

The SAS is short for the Special Air Service. This was a special service unit organized in 1941 by young British officer David Stirling and showed activity in the desert of North Africa. The only one mission of the SAS was to weaken the enemy by infiltrating deep through enemy lines and harassing the rear. It was the Jeep that the SAS used as their main means of transport. Although inferior to the Chevrolet Truck in loading capacity, the Jeep with superior cross-country ability was best suited for the mission of the SAS
