Description

Rick and Aubrey are parents to two miracle children. They have spent over eighteen months in the hospital, fighting to keep their precious boys alive. From their first child being born thirteen weeks early, to their second child being born with a multitude of diagnoses - Rick and Aubrey have experienced almost everything within the neonatal intensive care unit. Due to their extensive stay in the hospital and their experiences, Rick and Aubrey founded a non-profit - Unmasked: Revealing the Superhero in All of Us - an organization which provides the opportunity to family and friends to reveal their superhero by nominating caregivers to receive comfort items to show love and support. With their second son, they planned to be in-patient for one open-heart surgery, a seven day experience - they thought - which turned into almost one year, causing them a lot of financial hardships. The purpose of this book is to share their journey, experience and how they survived together.
