David had everything he ever wanted. He was married to the girl of his dreams and he was at the beginning of a satisfying career as a college professor. Life couldn't have been better. Maybe he had some emotional baggage he'd be better off without, but, then, who didn't? He could handle it. He was in charge. He had it under control. Then, without warning, things changed.
