Description

Is this the Lemuria of antiquity, or of times to come? Once you've ridden the storm clouds of heaven from the edge of time, anything is possible. Demonic hordes threaten to destroy the very fabric of time itself. The fate of all humanity rests on the shoulders of Tempus the Black, Favorite of the Storm God. But even this hero of legend will encounter a challenge he has never faced before . . . present-day New York City. Praise for the Sacred Band series: "... much more than great Heroic Fantasy: it is classic literature, filled with sub-plots, a fine cast of well-drawn characters, insight and wisdom and recurring themes of honor, faith, brotherhood and love." -- Joe Bonadonna, Black Gate Magazine

Author Biography:

"Fantasy's power couple," Janet and Chris Morris, have written hit songs, bestselling fiction, nonfiction, op/eds, policy papers, and other contributions to national security and the anima mundi. They have edited more than 20 anthologies, including the award-winning Heroes in Hell series. Their long-running heroic fantasy series, the Sacred Band of Stepsons, includes Tempus Unbound as a pivotal novel in its canon. Read it alone or as the 6th novel in the Sacred Band series, and remember why heroic fantasy matters to who we are, and who we may become. Author and composer Chris Morris began writing music in 1966, fiction in 1984, and nonfiction in 1989, as a Senior Fellow and Research Director at the U.S. Global Strategy Council in Washington, D.C. His musical credits include the albums "The Christopher Morris Band" and "Everybody Knows" (Singing Horse). Much of his fiction and nonfiction literary work, including all his book-length science fiction and fantasy, has been written in collaboration with his wife, Janet Morris.
