Arrived on time and even though it wasn't the directors cut we first saw, it was still good.

James Cameron's Sci-Fi classic The Terminator is a film that even to this day, 26 years after it was released, is still a remarkable film and one that will remain a classic for many years to come. Arnold Schwarzenegger's breakout role in the film industry is a marvellous one as a futuristic cyborg sent back in time to terminate the mother of the leader of the future human resistance who are at war with a computer system called Skynet that almost annihilated the human race.

This film never releases its firm grip on you as it takes you from its beginning to its ending and is riveting entertainment all the way. 5 Stars!

Terminator

Disguised as a human, a cyborg assassin known as a Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) travels from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). Sent to protect Sarah is Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), who divulges the coming of Skynet, an artificial intelligence system that will spark a nuclear holocaust. Critic Reviews:

  • " “The Terminator” brings film violence into the realm of the surreal. " – Paul Attanasio
  • " The havoc makes for a genuine steel metal trap of a movie that may very well be the best picture of its kind since The Road Warrior. " – Kirk Ellis
  • " Getting the extraordinary physical specimen of Arnold Schwarzenegger for the lead was a stroke of genius and a stroke of fortune. Each of his pecs is the size of a bull's flank. " – Peter Bradshaw
