I had forgotten just how GOOD this movie is, best “road trip” film of all time. Awesome soundtrack throughout brings back so many memories of my teenage dance parties- though to be honest I think Guy Pearce in drag is prettier than I ever was, and has way better legs! I love the themes in this movie – acceptance vs ignorance and bigotry. And the message is delivered with such flamboyance , endurance and joy that this film continues to captivate and entertain two decades after it was made. The costume designers and make-up artists all deserve Oscars themselves. Just fabulous and fun which can't fail to lift your spirits!

Awesome film was very happy to get my own copy of it.
I can't believe I had never seen this! Brilliant movie that makes you think and smile :)
Australia has come of age with it's movies and being a theatre person, this was a hoot from start to finish. A send up, fast moving over the top romp from start to finish
