Stylish, undated and mysterious – this just about sums up the pink boxed set of wonder from the 1960's. Worth watching for the fashion alone – plots are interesting with that little bit of scientific mystery about them. You cannot better Mrs Peel and John Steed for action, adventure and again STYLE. Just like a box of Roses Chocolates I am saving each episode for that rainy day when I deserve a little treat.

I recently bought this box set and I am enjoying reliving this blast from the past. Steed and Peel are very watchable and I think they have stood the test of time very well. The colours are vivid and I love Peel's mod clothes. The stories are sometimes a bit far fetched but still entertaining. I can recommend this set to anyone who loves 60s style.

The Avengers is a refreshing change from the 60s American shows I'm used to watching. Very clever and each show is rather unusual. A situation which seems impossible/unreal turns out to be explainable.
I love guessing what is actually going on at the start of the program, rather than thinking that it's something impossible. Mr Steed and Mrs Peel are simply delightful.
