Johnny is the main character that is a great role model for the other boys in the story. It is an advanced book in that it teaches about values and life. The book itself is great quality being large thick at 5 inches by 8 inches and a showpiece for my book cabinet with gloss shine. Very detailed and I really felt like I was there. The personalities of the characters really was amazing how they seemed as real people as if one was reading a movie. I grew up in the eighties and it was quite a fun adventure. The gunshow walk through chapter for example, was so real that I could see myself there while I was reading it. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 3. I like most about this book. is that it is taking me back to when I was in high school. It is an action packed love story about a boy and girl dating during high school with all that the 80s had to offer. The war games and the kung fu training was how the 80s were. Very interesting way of writing. More like reading a movie in the first person view as it is happening. The added music in some of the scenes really was over the top. I learned many things from Johnny. I don't think I will ever forget some of the life lessons taught in this awesome book. It has three seasons in it and I really liked looking forward to another couple chapters every night. NETFLIX SHOULD MAKE A SERIES OUT OF IT. Antonio Kline
