Author Biography

Christopher Simmons, of MINE, is an instructor in identity design at California College of the Arts and at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Simmons is president of the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). Top Studio Design is a design firm specializing in logo and corporate identity, CD packaging, and special event design. Recent clients include the Grammy Awards, Universal Music, City of Hope, Disney, Technicolor, and Toyota. They are based in Los Angeles, California. Stoltz Design Inc. has received numerous awards from national design organizations including American Institute for the Graphic Arts (AIGA), American Center for Design, Society of Publication Designers (SPD) and the Type Directors Club. Stoltz's work is also in the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum. John Sayles, of Sayles Graphic Design, has developed over 500 logos and icons and nearly 200 letterhead programs in addition to projects involving packaging, direct mail, collateral, and environments. Sayles Graphic Design has their work included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institution's National Design Museum and the Library of Congress.
