Description

What if we as a society took a cultural, social, and economic step backward? The Between Times is that rare book that will pull you into a dark world, and bring you to the brink of what could be. The Between Times, is based on a fascist society, one in which the rich control everything, instead of 'Big Brother' as in George Orwell's 1984 or Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. It is a bleak world where the poor are considered beasts of burden and their children are born only to be put to work or to breed another work force for the corporation. Although, this story has been called "too close for comfort," there is hope in the form of a prophecy that is handed down from father to son. A prophecy that a young girl will be born who can weave the magic of the between times and bring change through the joining of all the spirits of the past, present, and future.
