"First my children, now grandchildren, can't get enough!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The first time we bought this book, it was for a son who is now 40 years old. He and his brothers learned whole pages off by heart. Now I have bought it for my grandsons – who insist on reading it over and over and over......

This book has never dated – great illustrations and a story that appeals to little ones. They never tire of seeing father look a little silly!

"Long time fav"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

There's something about Dad's trying to show their kids the way to do something and the children can see what's coming. For 30 years a favourite. Margaret Fountain

"A fun story for my Granddaughter"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The thrill of following the honey bees to their hive and ending up going to the shop for the honey kept my Granddaughter highly amused.

Description

The Berenstain Bears go on an adventure all small children will find attractive: Small Bear watches his 'smart old Dad' escape one danger after another in THE BIG HONEY HUNT. 'I can read it all by myself' is the Beginner Books motto, and behind it is an understanding of how important it is for children to take pride and pleasure in their early reading. Beginner Books have been designed to appeal directly to children through the use of humour, rhyme, and bright pictures that can be 'read' even by the non-reading child. Some Beginner Books are simple stories, others are hilarious nonsense: both types have been designed to give children confidence and make them want to go on reading.
