As a huge fan of the video game, I kick-started this game when it was first announced and I couldn't be happier with the final product. It remains true to the themes and characters while being slightly more friendly to newcomers in terms of subject matter.

Four Souls plays like a more mature and deep version of Munchkin, you take turns fighting monsters and looting the dungeon but can also buy items and screw over the other players in many more ways. The effects and uses of each card are more involved which leads to some incredible strategies. Each player character starts with a different item which makes each game different from the start. Highly recommended!

This is a big hit with my board games group, if we're looking for a strategic, complex, multi-layered game, this is our go-to. With a large variety of cards and characters to play as, the number of strategies and tactics makes each game unique. Whilst Binding of Isaac: Four Souls can, on the rare occasion, stagnate, most games are often nail-bitingly close. Definitely a favourite to play
